Applies to CRUST and to dotmixgames.com · Effective 30 August 2026
Dotmix Games is a one-person studio run by Dotan Roitman. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what CRUST records and where it goes. It is short because the game collects very little.
The summary: CRUST collects anonymous gameplay statistics — how far you got, what you picked up, what killed you. It does not collect your name, email, account, device identifiers, advertising ID, location, contacts, photos, or files. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics SDKs. The game is fully playable offline.
At the end of a run — and when you pause — the game assembles a report of that playthrough. It contains only gameplay values:
The run identifier is generated fresh for each playthrough. It groups the several reports of a single run together. It is not tied to you, your device, or your other runs, and it cannot be used to recognise you across sessions.
On your device, always. Every report is written to the game's own private storage first. This file never leaves your device unless you send it yourself.
To a private database, when a connection is available. Reports are also sent to a database hosted on Supabase, used solely to tune the game's difficulty and balance. Transmission is best-effort: if you are offline or the server is unreachable, the game continues normally and nothing is retried or queued for later.
As with any internet request, the receiving server observes the originating IP address at the moment of the connection. This is inherent to how the internet works rather than something the game collects, and IP addresses are not stored in the run data or used to identify players.
CRUST is designed to be played offline and every feature works with no connection. When the game says it plays offline, that is a statement about playability — it does not mean the game never contacts the network. When a connection is present, run reports are sent as described above.
Solely to make the game better. A one-person studio cannot playtest nine floors across every combination of items and weapons; the run reports show where difficulty spikes, which items are overpowered, and where players are getting stuck. The data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party, and it is not used to profile or target anyone.
Only Dotan Roitman. Supabase acts as the hosting provider and processes the data on our behalf under its own security and privacy terms. No other person or company has access.
Run reports are retained while they remain useful for balancing, and are deleted when no longer needed. The copy stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the game.
CRUST is not directed at children. It contains cartoon violence and comedic horror, and is rated accordingly on each store. No data is knowingly collected from children, and because the game collects no personal information at all, none could identify a child.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because CRUST collects no personal data and no identifiers linked to you, there is no record that can be traced back to an individual — which means there is nothing to retrieve or erase on request. If you believe otherwise, get in touch and we will look into it.
If the game starts collecting anything not described here, this page will be updated and the effective date changed before that version ships.
